Where do donations go?
The White Cane 5K Fund races to shine a spotlight on blind and low-vision support in the Kalamazoo community and to raise community awareness concerning those who have visual impairments.
Donations are applied to creating community impact through the hosting of the White Cane 5K walk/race. MWEB and WMU are working to host a yearly White Cane 5K in one of the highest rated blind-friendly cities in America– Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Additional donations will be used to purchase white canes for those who are in need of a replacement white cane or for those who may need a white cane for the first time.
